East Coast Drugs Task Force – Evaluation

For the East Coast Regional Drugs Task Force, we have evaluated their drug prevention, treatment and rehabilitation support services projects, as well as the overall governance and management of the programme.

Following desk research, and interviews with project and programme leaders, we prepared a report on performance, with recommendations on strategy, structure and funding. The projects evaluation measures the inputs, outputs and outcomes of five projects using a five-point framework: rationale, relevance, fit to national strategies, connections to other services, and completeness of implementation.

This evaluation has provided an evidence base for the Task Force to completely restructure the principal drug and alcohol treatment and rehabilitation project for south Dublin and Wicklow. It has also enabled the Task Force to refocus prevention and early intervention projects, and to identify strategic priorities for future funding.
