Chamber of Commerce – Urban Renewal
In this assignment, our objective was to engage and persuade NAMA to clean up a shopping centre that had been left derelict when the property market collapsed, and which was spoiling the town’s commercial fabric.
Having identified the relevant provisions of the NAMA Act 2009, we devised and delivered a contact programme involving a local project team and NAMA. The cleanup, which the agency authorised, secured the premises from a health and safety perspective, and led to the whole area being landscaped, paved and lit. As well as removing an eyesore, the project also reconnected the town centre and new business district.
An intensive media relations campaign positioned our client as the driver in the public mind.
